The concept
iCarYou is simple. You share a ride and if you are the driver you will receive
a compensation. As a passenger, you will pay price per km to those who drive
the car. Thus, iCarYou has two groups of participants: drivers and passengers.
Prior to departure, both passenger and driver provide information regarding their point of departure and destination. They do that by using the apps on the mobile phone or the webmatcher. In case there is a "match" you will be notified via the match application. It is financially very attractive to travel together, you would half travel costs and also reduce the CO2 emissions! Moreover, there are fewer cars driving so congestion will also reduce.
